End-User Licence Agreement for ROBOTILL

This End-User Licence Agreement (EULA) is a legal agreement between you (either an individual or a single entity) and ROBOTILL (PTY) LTD the author of this Software for the software product identified above, which includes computer software and may include associated media and “online” or electronic documentation (“SOFTWARE PRODUCT”). By installing, copying, or otherwise using the SOFTWARE PRODUCT, you agree to be bounded by the terms of this EULA. If you do not agree to the terms of this EULA, do not install or use the SOFTWARE PRODUCT.

  1. ROBOTILL Free Edition can be installed on any number of computers and is free for personal and commercial use. The Free Edition may not be sold or changed in any way. Distribution of the SOFWARE PRODUCT may only be done by linking to and downloading from the ROBOTILL.COM website.
  2. ROBOTILL Full Edition is purchased from ROBOTILL.COM and a licence will be issued by ROBOTILL. A ROBOTILL POS licence is per POS Point (Till Computer). For each POS Point you purchase you can also register ROBOTILL Manager (Back Office computer) on a different computer. The licence is purchased for a specific period (one to two years) and will expire after that period. After the period expired another licence can be purchased. Prices are subject to change.
  3. ROBOTILL Branch Module requires a separate ROBOTILL Branch Module licence.
  4. The licence (key) is purchased for a specific computer (hardware). The licence key will only work for for that specific computer.
  5. The licence is linked to the hardware of the computer. If the computer hardware is replaced it will be seen as a different (new) computer. Replacing just the computer hard drive (HDD) will require new keys but would not be seen as a new computer.
  6. A licence that does not expire (that option is no longer available) was purchased for a specific computer and cannot be moved to a new computer even if that computer is being replaced. This was clearly stated on the purchase page and the invoice at the time these licences where still available.
  7. With a licence purchased for a specific period (the only option currently available), a licence can be moved to another computer but the conditions below apply.

  1. You can only move a licence to another computer once every 3 years. On average a computer is replaced once every 4 - 7 years.
  2. At the beginning of each new licence period you can move the licence to another computer without it being counted as a 'license move'. It is only when you move a licence to another computer during the licence period (after you already registered the first computer) that it will be counted as a 'licence move'.
  3. A licence move can only be done once every 3 years per licence. With other words the number of current active licences needs to be more than the number of times you did a licence move in the last 3 years.
  4. If you move a licence you are not allowed to use ROBOTILL on the computer that is being replaced.
  5. An exception to the rule above is if you move a POS licence but want to use the first computer as your back office computer and you have not used the free back office key for the POS licence yet. Then, you are only allowed to use ROBOTILL Manager on the first computer.
  6. The computer that is being replaced will be added to our list of discarded computers (the hardware profile). We will not allow you to register a computer that was replaced/discarded as a POS computer again for a 1 year period after the licence period ended even if you want to purchase a licence for that computer.

The purpose of the FREE Edition of ROBOTILL is to give the customer more than enough time to see how the product works and to determine if the product is working according to requirements and expectations. Once a licence is purchased and a key is issued there is no way for ROBOTILL to stop the computer from using the FULL Edition. For that reason, ROBOTILL does not give refunds.
